Is there a Hop-on Hop-off Boat in Amsterdam?

Answer: Yes, similar to Amsterdam’s famous Hop-on Hop-off Bus, there is also a Hop-on Hop-off Boat service that operates on the same principle - unlimited travel with stops at central locations in Amsterdam, where you can get on and off as many times as you like.

The route passes through Amsterdam’s main canals and sails by many of the city’s most famous landmarks, such as the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, the Royal Palace, the canal belt, and more.

How does it work?

The Hop-on Hop-off Boat in Amsterdam works on a 24- or 48-hour basis, during which you can use it as many times as you wish. The stops where you can get on or off at any time are:

  • Central Station (East)
  • Gassan Diamonds
  • Hermitage Museum
  • Albert Cuyp Market
  • Rijksmuseum
  • Central Station (West)

The full loop takes about 100 minutes, with the departure point at Amsterdam Central Station. The first departure is at 9:15 in the morning, and then a new boat leaves every 25 minutes. The last departure is at 19:00 in summer or 17:00 in the winter months.

The ticket price starts at €29 for 24 hours and can be booked here. The ticket is valid only from the date you choose to activate it. Tickets can be canceled free of charge with a full refund up to 24 hours before the activation date.
